Eaton Centre - Paradise for Shoppers

The quintessential downtown Toronto shopping experience is the Eaton Centre. This landmark Toronto mall offers more than 250 stores, restaurants, and is anchored by Sears. Even before the Centre was constructed at Queen and Yonge Street, this area was the heart of Toronto shopping. Eaton’s, Simpson’s, and the Hudson’s Bay Company all had stores located here and drew hundreds of thousands of shoppers. Though the Simpson’s and Eaton’s retail chains have since disappeared, they remain in spirit, as both companies were purchased by Sears.

This galleria-type mall has several fine Toronto restaurants. Located near the subway and theatre district, it is very conveniently located. You’ll find upscale clothing stores and an airy atmosphere that makes shopping a pleasant experience, particularly in the winter. The Eaton Centre is quickly accessed via subway should you be in Toronto to watch the Toronto Blue Jays, or the Toronto Maple Leafs.
