Year-round guided tours of the Elgin Theatre, the last operating double-decker theatre in the world are provided on Thursdays at 5 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. The 90 minute tour recounts the history and restoration of the theatre. Visitors can see the original and current lobbies, both theatres and items from the world’s largest collection of vaudeville scenery. Visitors can also view the Winter Garden’s original Simplex Silent Film Projector and a dressing room containing artifacts from the Elgin’s storied past.
