Luminato Festival of Arts in Toronto
Luminato is Toronto’s Festival of Arts and Creativity. Held from June 1-10, 2007 this new major art festival will involve thousands of artists and performers in more than 100 different events.
Taking place across downtown Toronto and in numerous Toronto neighbourhoods, Luminato performances will range from films to art exhibits. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some of Toronto’s most interesting creative arts productions.

For the family, Luminato offers unique performances and shows by Carnvalissima, L’Art Boat, Floating Artworks, Pulse Front, Motus O Dance Theatre and the Muttadi International Drumming festival.
The festival will also feature Atom Egoyan’s production, Auroras. Auroras is a reflection on the life of a woman, Aurora Mardiganian, who witnessed the massacre of Armenians in the early 20th century and was brought to America and exploited by Hollywood. The film will be premiered at the Art Core in the Distillery Historic District.
Luminato is an annual art celebration featuring theatre, classical and contemporary music, dance, visual arts, film, and literature which will feature acclaimed World Premieres of innovative new work and unexpected creative collaborations.
