AMC theatres are located in Mississauga, Scarborough, Concord, Whitby and Oakville.

Cineplex Odeon

Cineplex Odeon is one of Canada’s largest movie theatre chains and has several downtown Toronto locations: Carlton Street, 210 Yonge St, 259 Richmond Street West and the Varsity theatres at Yonge and Bloor Streets.  The Sheppard Grande theatre and SilverCity Eglinton can be easily reached via the Yonge Street Subway. Cineplex also offers NHL hockey on their big screens and live broadcasts of the Metropolitan Opera in high definition.

IMAX Theatres Toronto

IMAX movies are large screen film presentations, and are filmed in a special format to create a unique viewing experience. Most IMAX films focus on nature, education or adventure as topics, but full-length feature films are now being shown in IMAX theatres.

IMAX has over 250 theatres world-wide and is an affiliate of Cineplex Odeon. Regular movie complexes often have their own IMAX theatre. Many IMAX theatres have domed screens.
