Toronto Neighbourhoods
During your Toronto vacation, you’ll want to experience the variety of Toronto’s 200-plus neighbourhoods.
The most frequently visited area of Toronto is the Entertainment district and the Harbourfront. At the St Lawrence Market and Kensington Market you can learn about Canadian culture. West of Yonge Street between King Street and Bloor Street you’ll see plenty of old architecture, and lovely Victorian-style buildings.
Yorkville is a lovely upscale neighbourhood known for its trendy shops( located several miles north of the downtown). For boaters and sailors, the Toronto Islands offer a quiet respite from the noise and bustle of the city. Ferry boats can take you across to the islands.

If you’d like to sample ethnic cuisine you’ll be delighted to know there are many Toronto restaurants that specialize in specific cuisines: Chinese, Italian, Greek, Japanese, Indian and North American dining is all on the menu.
Chinatown is on the west side of downtown Toronto from University avenue to Spadina, and north of King Street to Dundas. You’ll find plenty of shopping and restaurants to while away an afternoon.
