The Toronto Zoo offers a fun packed wildlife experience that inspires people to appreciate the wonder and well being of the natural world.

Home to more than 5000 animals representing over 460 different species, one of the aims of the Toronto Zoo is to show animals in their natural environments.

Located in the scenic Rouge Valley, the Toronto Zoo encompasses 710 acres carefully crafted to flow naturally into the surrounding landscape. The award winning 30 acre African Savannah allows you to experience magnificent African animals, including Lions, Hyenas and Cheetahs in a new way-as part of their own habitat. The two acre Gorilla Rainforest is home to the largest indoor Gorilla exhibit in North America.

gorillaWith over 6 miles of walking trails, the Zoo tantalizes with possibilities. Kids are crazy about Zellers Discovery Zone where you'll find the Kids Zoo, a dynamic, interactive children's wildlife experience, Splash Island, an exciting 2 acre water play area and the 750 seat Waterside Theatre, home of exciting family entertainment. There's even an Aussie Walkabout where kids and grown ups can go walk about, barrier-free, through groups of kangaroos, wallabies and emus!
