We will Rock You Musical
We Will Rock You is a live musical theatre performance playing at the Canon Theatre in Toronto. Presented by Mirvish Productions, it opened on April 11th and runs until mid July 2007. Seating capacity for the performance is just over 1100 seats.

We will Rock You is based on the songs of British 70’s rock band Queen and is named after their hit single of the same name. English comedian and author Ben Elton wrote the musical in collaboration with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. Queen was very unique in pop music with its grandiose, theatrical, faux-operatic style concerts, and We Will Rock You is a tribute to Queen’s theatrical fashion.
The Story
We will Rock You takes place in a tongue-in-cheek dystopian future where originality and individuality are shunned. A lone "Dreamer" appears who can fulfill a prophecy that will enable the return of rock 'n roll.
The play features many popular rock songs created by Queen.
This musical took more than 6 years to develop began running in England in 2002 and is still playing at the Dominion Theatre in London.
